I am so overwhelmed in finding this site which depicts some of my childhood memories of events and friends that I hold near and dear to my heart. Hats off to Officers Walker and Williams who continue to inspire so many youth. "The Dumplings" helped to pave the way and now this international institution has gone to heights that we could not have ever imagined back then. Sorry bout the mistake but i just wanted you to know that i need to know in one month because my team must qualify in two months so one month practice please we are pretty young but my girls are awsome at double dutch they're like lightning bolts but faster they have been practicing for five years now and they are awsome so please this month i need to know if there are any competitions in Australia NSW please or they will get kicked off the double dutch ladder of girls in my school they are awsome but no competitions yet so please can you please tell me this month.

Hello,

I live in a favela (slum) in Rio de Janeiro.
Our comunity is very poor but we have lots of spirit. My purpose to write this is I want to expose the girls of our comunity to jumping rope. There is lots of programs to help the boys out of troubles (ie: Drug gangs), but there is little help for our gilrs who have other problems like tennage pregnancy and prostitution. I really want to cacth these girls and involve them in something creative, fun yet inexpensive to them. Also maybe this will give them self esteem too!

Is there anybody out there willing to come to my home in Rocinha and teach our girls jumping rope or double dutch..

I really think this would be a great project to start in my comunity.
